“Come and see.”
(John 1:39, 1:46; 4:29)

Recently, after a Sunday service, one of our dear sisters shared something that stirred her heart. As she was praying about boldness, the words “Come and meet Jesus” came to her.

That is our prayer: that we would be bold enough to share Jesus in every space we enter.

Because knowing Him changes everything.

We exist to glorify God and follow Him wholeheartedly:
loving God passionately and loving others compassionately.

A Sweet Renewed Season & Becoming a Regional Church
Though our church began in 1905, we are living in a renewed season - a fresh chapter of vibrant life in Jesus!

A few years ago, the United Methodist Church — where many of us had long been rooted — entered a season of deep division and controversy over several issues. After prayerful discernment, Nokesville Methodist Church chose to disaffiliate from the United Methodist Church and formed an independent 501(c)(3) congregation.

During that time, many faithful believers — both from other Northern Virginia region United Methodist congregations as well as people discovering us — joined together here, seeking a church home grounded in biblical faithfulness and unity in Christ. Now we represent many areas around Northern Virginia - Warrenton, Vint Hill, Bristow, Gainesville, Haymarket, Manassas and more.

It was also a season of grieving, as we processed change, loss, and uncertainty together.

Yet God has been remarkably faithful.

What we are experiencing now feels like a renewal of heart, mind, and soul — a Jesus-centered, people-loving, biblically grounded, mission-minded, hope-filled movement of God among us. It is something only God could orchestrate.

As we grow in Spirit and in number, our opportunities to serve Jesus in His world continue to expand:

  • We serve regularly at House of Mercy in Manassas.

  • Our Teddy Bear Brigade and Teddy Bear Blue partners with Police to bring comfort to children in crisis.

  • We support local schools and community events, including Trunk or Treat — celebrating children as the precious gifts they are.

When someone faces hardship, our care and medical teams step in.
When crisis strikes — in families, friendships, or across the nation — we pray, believing the promise:

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18

Community Wide Dinners

And while our kitchen crew may not be HGTV-famous, our Oyster-Turkey Dinners, Chili Cook-offs, and Vacation Bible School meals are legendary around here.

Mission Outpost Families

Our small groups are called Mission Outpost Families.

Like the early Christians, we gather in homes, share meals, pray, study Scripture, and lean on Jesus together. We stay attentive to the needs of our neighborhoods and look for ways to serve.

There Is Room for You

There is always room for you. “Come and see!”

More joy.
More love.
More people are growing in faith— adults, teens, and children.
More hope is being shared with the world.

You belong here — surrounded by the love of Jesus.

Beginnings - 1905 - to Present

Our church was originally established in 1905 as part of the Prince William Charge of the Washington District. It was first known as Epworth Chapel, located at the corner of Free and Nokes Streets in the village of Nokesville.

From 1941 to 1981, the congregation worshiped on Fitzwater Drive in a building that had previously housed the Protestant Episcopal Church known as St. Anne’s Chapel.

In the summer of 1981, the church moved to its current location at 12550 Aden Road., Nokesville, VA.

For many years, we were part of the United Methodist Church.

2023 - Present

In May 2023, we became part of the Global Methodist Church (GMC), continuing our commitment to faithful, Christ-centered ministry in our community.

For more information about the GMC, please check the following link: https://globalmethodist.org. As part of the Global Methodists we are connected with other local churches worldwide. We exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ and spread scriptural holiness across the globe.
