Teddy Bear Blues
Teddy Bear Blues helps local police officers with children in crisis. We often donate funds so the department can purchase a lot of bears.
Nokesville Methodist Church supports:
- Pennies for Potatoes collection for Society of St. Andrews ( part of Gleaning for the World)
- Souped Bowl of Caring food collection for House of Mercy and Haymarket Food Pantry
- Teddy Bear Blues- stuffed bears donated to local police departments for officers to hand out to children at traumatic events (accidents, house fires, etc): from missions budget
- Lenten fasting offering matched by mission budget and donated to House of Mercy
- Relay for Life: individual partition and donations + $1000 donation from missions budget
- School supplies for House of Mercy and The Nokesville School
- Teddy Bear Brigade: new or gently used stuff animals collected and donated to TBB at Gleaning for the World depot in Lynchburg : mission budget pays for shipping
- Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes donated to Samaritan’s Purse: mission budget pays for shipping
- Thanksgiving basket for families in need at The Nokesville School:mission budget pays
- Support Angel Tree project at The Nokesville School: individual donations
- CRU Campus Ministry at GMU
- Life First
- Va. Women’s and Family Support Center in Haymarket
- Backpack supplemental food bags for qualifying children at The Nokesville School
- Nokesville Ruritan Food Pop-Up
- International missions (Wells family going to The Gambia)
- Quarterly work parties at House of Mercy
