Dear Nokesville church family and friends,
“Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16, NRSV).
Hallelujah! We are excited to welcome our new Accompanist, Jamie Shin. This is her first week with us, and we will have a special moment to install and bless our sister during the service this Sunday. With Jamie’s joining, we now have a full dream team of staff as follows:
Our choir members are already excited to entertain the idea of celebrating a Christmas Cantata this year. Praise the Lord! Once again, on behalf of our Nokesville church family, I would like to express my deep gratitude to our Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC), especially Wade and Sandy, for all the hard work they put into making this happen. We’ve witnessed the guiding hand of God along the way. Thanks be to God!
This is but a reminder of our Lenten study from Experiencing God. God is always at work around us. Watch to see where God is at work and join Him. Are we attempting anything that only God can do? Don’t play safe, go bold! What are we afraid of? What holds us back? Shall we dare to put out into the deep water and celebrate the harvest of salvation?
This summer, we desire to go into the deep through the spiritual disciplines. Last Sunday, as we began the new sermon series, we explored what our souls thirst for. You can watch it at Sermons | Nokesville Methodist Church – Bible Teaching in Nokesville VA. This Sunday, July 19, we will explore why we need to pray (Matthew 6:7-8, Hebrews 4:16). I hope to see you all soon on the Lord’s day. Stay cool, y’all.
Your brother in Christ,
