Dear Nokesville church family and friends,
“Will you not revive us again, so that your people may rejoice in you?” (Psalm 85:6, NRSV)

Our Global Methodist brothers and sisters gathered together for the Virginia Annual Conference of the GMC at the Wilderness Community Church in Spotsylvania last week. It felt like a three-day-long revival gathering where we praised God joyfully and prayed to God fervently. The whole-day conference was physically tiring, yet I got spiritually refreshed and recharged by dynamic preachers as I was surrounded by passionate worshippers. Spiritual fervor, ignited by the Holy Spirit, is one of the hallmarks of our Global Methodist Church. We are blessed to be part of this Spirit-led revival movement. Special thanks go to our dear brother Jeff Brown for representing our congregation at the Virginia Annual Conference. I pray for the wildfire of a revival by the mighty wind of the Holy Spirit in and through our lives.

This Sunday, June 7, we will celebrate the 121st anniversary of our church. Our church was founded in 1905 as God’s strategic base in Nokesville to spread the gospel and rescue the perishing. God has since been gracious to us, and we are still going strong for God’s glory and kingdom. Jesus Loves Me Puppets will bless our children during the service, and we’ll enjoy a potluck luncheon afterward. Our Fellowship Dinner Crew will take care of main dishes. You can bring a side dish or a dessert, if you like. This is a joyous occasion you would want to invite your friends and neighbors to. Let’s gather with holy expectancy for the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst.

We’ve been exploring the Apostles’ Creed, the foundational statement of the Christian faith. Last Sunday, we explored what the Church is. You can watch it at Sermons | Nokesville Methodist Church – Bible Teaching in Nokesville VA. This Sunday, we will explore the forgiveness of sins (Colossians 3:12-14, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21). I hope to see you all soon on the Lord’s day.

Your brother in Christ,

Sung Yoo
